individual artists, arts workers, groups or organisations in all
disciplines to attend events at short notice that have strategic
significance to the development or promotion of their arts practice or
profession.
QUICK RESPONSE - CONTEMPORARY MUSIC

This program is designed to allow successful applicants to take up
opportunities for which funding cannot be accessed through normal
funding rounds and where the time frame is out of the control of the
applicant. Applications for production of last minute film-clips for up
to $5,000 will also be considered, in the event the artists / band is
receiving high rotation on the airways.
Requests of up to $5,000
are considered for national activity and up to $10,000 for
international activity. Applications must be accompanied by a separate,
written statement explaining why the activity requires Quick Response
support and cannot wait until the regular funding rounds. Applications
that do not include such a statement will not be assessed.

YCulture offers up to $3,000 towards your arts/cultural project,
supporting projects by young people for young people across all
artforms such as music, theatre, performance, new media, visual arts

Some of the YCULTURE guidelines are:

IN SCHOOLS THROUGH THE ARTS (HISTA)
Schools can apply for up to $2,500 to undertake arts activities that
explore the priority health areas of mental health (bullying, social
isolation), nutrition (obesity) and/or physical activity. Projects must
be designed using arts activities and specifically examine or address
at least one priority health issue in a way that promotes positive
changes amongst students. Applications must be received by Healthway a
minimum of three calendar months prior to the commencement of the
project.
SMARTER
THAN SMOKING REGIONAL ARTS SCHOLARSHIPS (RAS)
The Scholarship offers financial support to assist young and emerging
artists based in regional WA to study, practice and develop their arts
skills, beyond what is available locally. Applicants must be between 12
and 25 years of age at the time the application is submitted. The
scholarship may cover more than one art form or cultural activity and
must take place in WA. Applications must be received by Healthway a
minimum of three calendar months prior to the commencement of the

YCulture offers up to $3,000 towards your arts/cultural project,
supporting projects by young people for young people across all
artforms such as music, theatre, performance, new media, visual arts
and crafts, street art, writing and dance.
Some of the YCULTURE guidelines are:

Applicants must be 12 -26 years and live in the Perth Metropolitan
Area (please visit www.countryartswa.asn.au for
YCulture regional funding options).
- Allow at least 8 weeks
between the date you get your application in, and the start date of
your project.
- Your project must involve an experienced artist to ensure you
maximize your skills development.

YCulture funds can cover fees of your experienced artist, materials,
promotional costs, documentation of your event/project, venue and
equipment hire.
- You (the young applicant) need to come up with the project
idea.
- All events and activities will be smoke, drug and alcohol free.
- YCulture will not fund projects that have already occurred.

INDIGENOUS CULTURE SUPPORT

ICS) program supports the maintenance and continued development of Indigenous culture at the community level.
CONTEMPORARY MUSIC TOURING PROGRAM

The Contemporary Music Touring Program provides funding support for touring activities to the contemporary music sector. The Program prioritises regional and remote area touring, which may include the movement of artists to, from or around those regions.

Festivals Australia is an Australian Government program which funds
Australian regional and community festivals to present quality cultural
projects. Funding is available to add a new or special sort of cultural
activity.

Arts Projects sponsored in this category involve "one off" special
events such as touring activity, performing and visual arts
presentations, regional festivals, community and multi-arts activities,
exhibitions and other significant cultural events which contribute
towards the development, community involvement and delivery of the Arts
in WA. Applications must be received by Healthway a minimum of four
calendar months prior to the commencement of the project.

Sponsorships are available to assist with conducting new or innovative
community based projects and festivals that provide opportunities to
promote health messages and have a primary arts or cultural focus.

HEALTH
IN SCHOOLS THROUGH THE ARTS (HISTA)
Schools can apply for up to $2,500 to undertake arts activities that
explore the priority health areas of mental health (bullying, social
isolation), nutrition (obesity) and/or physical activity. Projects must
be designed using arts activities and specifically examine or address
at least one priority health issue in a way that promotes positive
changes amongst students. Applications must be received by Healthway a
minimum of three calendar months prior to the commencement of the
project.
SMARTER
THAN SMOKING REGIONAL ARTS SCHOLARSHIPS (RAS)
The Scholarship offers financial support to assist young and emerging
artists based in regional WA to study, practice and develop their arts
skills, beyond what is available locally. Applicants must be between 12
and 25 years of age at the time the application is submitted. The
scholarship may cover more than one art form or cultural activity and
must take place in WA. Applications must be received by Healthway a
minimum of three calendar months prior to the commencement of the
project.

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE (AIR)Developed in conjunction with the Australia Council for the Arts, the Department of Culture and the Arts and Department of Education, a new four year pilot grants program was launched in June 2009. Funding will be available to WA public schools/teacher training institutions/artists and/or arts and cultural organisations in two funding streams: STREAM 1 – grants of $30,000 each (with the school/institution as applicant) and STREAM 2 – one grant of $100,000 (DCA key funded organisation as applicant). Information on confirmed 2010 funding will be available from our website with applications open from April 2010 (details yet to be announced).

This may be facilitated via national re-broadcast on the Community Radio Network (CRN) or the National Indigenous Radio Service (NIRS), or through provision of a master CD to Amrap. Applications are accepted twice a year in March and October.
AMRAP - MUSIC CORRESPONDENTSClosing Date: Thursday 1 AprilFunds are available to support the production of short program content
on aspects of contemporary Australian music for distribution to
community radio stations for broadcast and publication on the Amrap
website where appropriate. The grants aim to provide the community
broadcasting sector with diverse, well-produced and engaging content
that enhances local programming. Applications are accepted twice a year in March and September.
AMRAP - PROGRAM PROMOTIONClosing Date: Thursday 1 April
Funds are available to increase the audience of Australian music
programs on community radio stations in non-Metropolitan areas. Amrap
grants contribute to the promotion and development of contemporary
Australian music and musicians by facilitating airplay through the
community broadcasting sector. Applications are accepted twice a year in March and September.
