If you are an Australian recording artist whose music is being broadcast or you hold the copyright in recordings that are receiving airplay, then you may be able to share in licence fees collected by PPCA. Registration cut off for PPCA’s current distribution is 15 September 2010.

The heats are over and the semi-finals are about to begin in the Western Australian leg of the National Campus Band Comp. The twenty bands who made it through are listed below. WA Semi Finals will be held 8, 10 & 11 September at Swan Basement, with the national final heading to the West on 1 October at The Rosemount Hotel.

The Sand Tracks remote Indigenous contemporary music touring program was born out of a desire by Country Arts WA to have a more frequent and greater involvement with remote Indigenous communities. The program has a strong focus on skills development for both remote Indigenous communities and for the touring bands.

The ‘Arts Engagement and Outcomes Study’ is interested in looking at the effect of arts involvement on participants and people who attend arts events. Running August to December, the study aims to learn from those who take part in the arts by discussing how arts involvement makes them feel and what outcomes they get from participation.
