Monday 10 May
10:00am Sunday morn is an early get up, too early for the sax player...who forgot his sax. The band make fun of jack for ages.
We're
in the car for 11 hrs over the day, it's not that often you can listen
to all three Kiss My WAMi discs without the tour van stopping. Some
favourites from the back of the van are from Umpire, The Chemist, Generals and Majors and Brash and Sassy.
Today the WAMi LOUDER regional tour heads to Coral Bay.
2.30pm We're
in Coral Bay and all agree it's paradise, the temperature is around 33
degrees, we've maybe got time for some swimming and snorkeling tomorrow
before the show.
Tuesday 11 May What a day, we're lucky to have the day of the show as free time to hang out in Coral Bay. A bunch of us go snorkeling about half a kilometre of shore and get to see turtles and brightly coloured fish coral and clams - a pretty awesome afternoon.
We
set up the PA for the first show of the tour, sounds great first up is
the local support act, Dean Murphy, it's his first actual pub gig. Dean's songs are well crafted and he has a really strong vocal. Darn good for a first show!
Ashleigh Rodier our tour support had some fans travel from Carnarvon to see her play. Loads of applause after a great set
Boom! Bap! Pow! play a super energetic set, the dance floor is alive, maybe a little too alive... there is a guy pole dancing. Novac says - the best pole dancing from a guy she has ever seen!
Locals loved the show, Boom Bap pow are invited back by Ningaloo Reef resort.
Wednesday 12 May 10:00amToday we're up super early after last nights show. Some tired
eyes around. We're in the van at 7am and on the road to Exmouth for two
shows today, first one is at the school.
2:00pmBoom! Bap! Pow! have just had Exmouth District High School up dancing with ear piercing applause.
Right now Boom! Bap! Pow! are doing a workshop with the year 5's, after those same year 5's have just played us "the lion sleeps tonight" in a recorder ensemble.
After heaps of fun at the school, we go straight to Grace’s Tavern in Exmouth to set up the show tonight, I'm looking forward to seeing local act ' ky & the jellys'
Thursday 13 MayLast night was another great Gascoyne gig at Grace's Tavern in Exmouth, with over 150 punters rolling up for the WAMi festival tour show. Local act KY & the Jellys were awesome!
We finish the gig in Exmouth and get 3hrs sleep, before we're up in the tour van for a 600am leave call to get to Carnarvon Senior High for today's school show.
BOOM! BAP! POW! have another great set, this time at CSHS. They're doing a workshop right now with the music students in
Carnarvon. After this we have the rest of the day off after 4 shows and 600+kms in the last 40 hours!
Well we needed a day off after those 4 shows in 40 something hours.
But we didn't get one, we did get a sleep though - well the crew did.
BBP & Ashleigh went to her mum & dad's place for dinner and a night of hot tub & jokes.
Friday 14 May We have the morning off. Luke Gray and myself devise a cricket bat invention with a lighting tree pole, some cardboard and some gaffa. Is there anything Gaffa can't do? We head to the beach in Carnarvon for a great game of beach cricket. a piece of driftwood makes the wickets. This was heaps of fun - check out the action below!

The gig at Carnarvon was a pretty special one with a load if indigenous and non indigenous musicians gracing the stage playing original songs. Highlights were those sung in language and a great track from a lady called Carmel Belotti.
Ashleigh is a home town girl in Carnarvon and a huge crowd turns out to see her.
The doors are closed just after 10pm- the venue is at capacity. Boom Bap pow play and ignite the audience on the dance floor
Jack BBP's Sax player- his phone rings while on stage it's his mum on the phone! how cute!!! Sucked in jack - I told you I'd tweet this :) ... Jack has threatened to start a hate tweet page for me haha!
Saturday 15 MayEarly start again and off to the last show in Monkey Mia, we get to the venue and set up straight away. Check out the view from stage - is this the best view from stage in WA?

We have a load of locals on this gig again. Wayne Dekker starts of with a didge solo which is a huge sound through the PA
we then have a local man called Howard Cock play.He is an older man, but this is his country - he sings songs about the country and about his life. He is awesome.
Shannon & Chris play, then Wayne Dekker plays his originals before Ashleigh Rodier gets up for her last set of the tour. Great job Ash! Boom Bap Pow hit the stage and the crowd more than doubles from 70 to about 170. People of all ages are up and dancing most of the set.
Boom Bap Pow are loved by every town they visited. Poor Jack is asked by a number of very young girls to have photo's with him.
One 15 yr old says he is 'BTB' - Better than Beber!
The ride home is long, but fun. we finish off with some pizza at Clint's house and bid the WAMI tour over for another year. Ahhh better than beber... the ride home!

Here he is Jack Doepel -
Better than Beber!!!
