2010 WAMi Kiss My Camera


After drawing crowds in excess of 60,000, Kiss My Camera returns in 2010 to collect and display your favourite Western Australian musical moments.

Presented by the 2010 WAMi Festival and The Western Australian Museum, Kiss My Camera invites photographers, music lovers and photomedia artists to submit their WA music pictures. The Kiss My Camera exhibition will take place in the Western Australian Museum - Perth from Wednesday 19 May - 12 July and tour regionally into 2011. In addition to the opportunity to exhibit, entrants who have works selected will be in the running for a 'People's Choice' prize presented by Sony Music.

Images can be from any year but must feature a Western Australian artist OR location. All images fitting this criteria will be considered including live music shots, portraits, press images, fan material and photomedia works.

Entries for Kiss My Camera have now closed.

Kiss My Camera is presented by the 2010 WAMi Festival and the Western Australian Museum, with support from X-Press Magazine and Sony Music.

             

              

2010 Grand Prize Winner

WAM is delighted to announce the Cam Inniss of Mandurah has taken out the publicly-voted Grand Prize of Kiss My Camera 2010 with an image of WA act Gyroscope at the MASS Music Festival in Margaret River.

WAMi Festival Director Sarah Norton said that Cam was really happy to win the prize and had visited the Kiss My Camera 2010 showcase with his family.

Kiss My Camera is part of the WAMi Festival program and captures WA’s favourite musical moments in an exhibition of 50 photographs.

450 entries were received in 2010 and over 15 000 viewed the exhibition at the Western Australian Museum’s Perth site.

As a popular element of the WAMi Festival program, Kiss My Camera will return in 2011 and details will be available from the WAM website in late 2010. 

Kiss My Camera 2010 is presented by WAM and The Western Australian Museum, with support from Sony Music and X-Press Magazine.
